Cageling
The Rabble
To be born a woman is the worst punishment.
Cageling is the surreal tale of four daughters trapped by their mother’s rage.
The Rabble smash open Lorca’s classic text ’The House of Bernarda Alba’ and drastically
re-imagine it as a grotesque and sublime nightmare. An achingly beautiful and hauntingly dark theatrical experience.
’Finally, finally, finally I have found a group of young Australian theatre makers who are pushing the boundaries of theatrical exploration’
