Cruising Paradise – Tales by Sam Shepard

The Graduates a group of actors, all of whom trained at The National Theatre Drama School in St Kilda, present Cruising Paradise – Tales by Sam Shepard a theatre piece based solely on a selection of Shepard’s short prose works.

Loners, losers, tough guys, introverts and movie stars – iconic Shepard characters share their stories in a sun-drenched dreamscape. A mesmerizing new fugue for voices based on the prose of  America’s greatest contemporary writer.

“Shepard’s stories recall no one so much as the doyen of all literary crossover artists – Anton Chekhov.”

Cruising Paradise – Tales by Sam Shepard has been being created and adapted by Melbourne-based director and writer, Terence O’Connell, whose long career has included over 200 productions, encompassing everything from Circus Oz to Shakespeare.
