Georgia Thorpe
Sol
In a celebration of light, Georgia Thorpe has created a series of unique woodcut prints – Large and bold on lightweight Japanese mulberry paper. Using materials that reflect an awareness of a sustainable art practice, Georgia builds the imagery with layers of water-based pigments and oil based inks. The works are inspired by the sun (‘sol’ in Latin + other languages), the provider of light and life and the great determiner of colour.
