Images of Home is a Community Cultural Development research project involving young people from Officer Primary School. The project is designed to engage young people living in growth corridors in Cardinia Shire  to explore social connection and the meaning of ‘home’ in a rapidly changing environment. Using digital recorders, the students were encouraged to ‘capture’ and then play with the sounds of their environment as a means to explore connections to their surroundings. Sound artist, Angela Grant, then created the installation for the small gallery.

The project has been generously funded by a VicHealth Technology, Arts and Social Connections Scheme (TASC).The project is led by researchers from Monash University Gippsland and the Centre for Cultural Partnerships at the University of Melbourne, and supported by the Community Cultural Development office at Cardinia Shire Council.
