Fiona Sweet, art director and creative director of Sweet Creative, and Garth Oriander, photographer, present Sweet Oriander, an exhibition of their creative collaboration over five years for Malthouse Theatre.

The exhibition is exclusively from the Michael Kantor and Stephen Armstrong years at the Malthouse and both were involved in the collaborative process.

This often fiery and controversial joining of creative minds resulted in the Malthouse look of today – a strong sense of colour and dramatic lighting, building on the intrigue of the images to artfully sell the theatre shows. Often shot in the early stages of each production’s development and before costumes and sets had been finalised, these images needed to capture the true essence of the each show.

Featuring some of Australia’s most well known performers, profits from the images sold at the exhibition will be donated to the Victorian Actors’ Benevolent Trust www.vabt.com.au
