She won prizes at several youth piano competitions when she was in Shanghai. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in commerce, Yiyun decided to devote herself to music performance and teaching, with the passion for sharing her love of music with audiences and students. Yiyun completed her Master of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music with Stephen McIntyre AM in 2013.
