Group Exhibition

The female birthright; to conceive, carry, birth and raise a child the way generations before us have done. With this new found insight into ourselves and our capabilities, we are re-invented and changed undeniably as we learn to understand the internal dichotomy between overwhelming love and underlying anguish that is felt.

Maternus will showcase emerging and mid-career artists from a range of disciplines: Anika Lister, Annie van Limbeek, Bonnita Gillard, Debbie Robinson, Katie Young, Kirsty Gorter, Mina Young, and Sarah Gosling.

The link that unites these artists is the simple fact that they are changed physically, emotionally and spiritually through motherhood.
